What is Henna?
Henna is a natural paste with staining properties derived from the plant Lawsonia inermis, which is native to the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. The plant’s leaves are dried and finely ground into a powder, then mixed with ingredients such as water or lemon juice, sugar, and essential oils to create a smooth paste.
Henna is most commonly used to create intricate body art designs, traditionally known as Mehndi. In addition to body art, henna is also widely used as a natural hair dye and as a tint for eyebrows.
